Middle Airports Corporation consists (MAC) of 7 airports, among which are DaNang International Airport and other 6 domestic airports including Phu Bai Airport (Hue), Cam Ranh Airport (Khanh Hoa), Pleiku Airport (Gia Lai), Phu Cat Airport (Binh Dinh), Tuy Hoa Airport (Phu Yen) and Chu Lai Airport (Quang Nam). With a widespread air route network from central coastal provinces to the Highland, we offer dozens of flights daily at our airports to remote regions and distant countries.
Due to the demand for promoting social - economic growth, the Government has confirmed that Viet Nam aviation is a key economic industry and that Viet Nam aviation must focus on modernization and improvement in quality of services. Viet Nam has a great benefit of being located in the Asia-Pacific area which accounts for 50% of the world’s air transportation volume.
In the national development strategy, the main economic zone in Central part is given top priority by the Government. Projects such as the construction of industrial and transportation infrastructures are particularly emphasized and air transportation plays a very crucial role.
The tourism industry in the Central Part reaches the highest growth rate and the number of tourists traveling by air accounts for 8.9%. This proves the efficiency of air transportation.
